Who runs this site
World Cup 2026 Sweepstake is run by Pete Daines for a small sweepstake group. If you have any privacy questions, email pete@3prd.com.
Personal data stored
The site may store the name assigned to a sweepstake team, the email address assigned to that team if the person has agreed to daily results emails, and whether an email address has unsubscribed.
The public page shows team owner names beside teams. Email addresses are only shown in the protected admin area.
Why this data is used
- To show who has each team in the sweepstake.
- To send daily World Cup results emails to people who have agreed to receive them.
- To remember unsubscribe requests so daily emails are not sent to those addresses again.
- To manage the site through the protected admin area.
Who data is shared with
Daily result emails are sent using Resend, which receives the recipient email address and the email content needed to deliver the message.
Football data is provided by API-Football. Google Ads may load on the public site only if advertising cookies are accepted. See the Cookie Policy for cookie choices.
How long data is kept
Sweepstake names and email addresses are kept for the duration of the sweepstake, unless removal is requested sooner. Unsubscribe records are kept so the site can continue to avoid sending emails to unsubscribed addresses.
Your choices
Every daily results email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask for your email address or name to be corrected or removed by emailing pete@3prd.com.
Security
The admin area is protected, email addresses are not displayed on the public page, and the app uses security headers and same-origin checks for admin changes. No system is perfect, but the app is designed to store only the small amount of personal data needed for the sweepstake.
